This is an opportunity to explore the world of traditional Inuktut terminology. Led by our Elder instructors, this course delves into the rich meanings of traditional terms while considering how these terms can be revitalized for life in our modern communities.
This is the level 2 course in our Aunnairvik program designed for Inuit who are improving their second language skills in Inuktut. Here the class works on sharpening their skills in the ICI writing system.
The starting place for new beginners of Inuktut. After the kickstart, only Inuktut is spoken in class to create an immersion-like enviroment for students.
Allurvik means 'the next step'. It is the Level 2 course in our Foundations program as new beginners get more confident in their Inuktut skills, including reading and writing in qaniujaaqpait (syllabics).
ᐊᑦᑕᕕᒃ | Attavik
Attavik is the level 1 course in our Aunniarvik program for Inuit improving their Inuktut second language skills. In this course we re-enforce the basics of Inuktut, including vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and reading and writing in qaliujaaqpait.
